Finding Your Member of Congress
Use your address to see your elected officials in the House and Senate. By following the links provided for each member, you may locate their official website and contact information. Remember that your facility and its employees may cover multiple congressional districts and all should be searched.
To get started, go to www.congress.gov/members/find-your-member.
Learning the Industry’s Priorities
Your purpose is to create a productive relationship (for you and your company) with your members of Congress and their staffs. This means that your primary message is based on personal experience, but seeing the larger issues advocated by ARSA will help you provide context and connect to others’ efforts.
ARSA is the eyes, ears, and voice of the aviation maintenance industry in the halls of Congress. The association’s legislative efforts complement its regulatory expertise as our team tirelessly fights for repair station interests on Capitol Hill. Our top priority is ensuring that aviation policy is based on facts, not fear.
See the priorities at arsa.org/legislative/issues.
Scheduling Congressional Meetings
Note: These instructions are provided for participants in ARSA’s 2025 Legislative Day. However, they can be used to request a congressional meeting at any time.
(1) Find your representative and senators (above).
(2) Determine the appropriate contact using the list generated by ARSA’s legislative team (click here to download the workbook). It has three sheets: lawmakers’ schedulers (Tab 1), legislative directors (Tab 2) and transportation, defense and education staffers (Tab 3). To set up a meeting with a member of Congress, proceed to Step (3) below. To request a meeting with a congressional staff member, go to Step 5 below. Contact ARSA Executive Vice President Christian Klein if you have questions or cannot find the necessary contact information.
(3) Using the template message below, email the scheduler – you may also include other staffers – and cc christian.klein@arsa.org. Personalize the text as necessary before sending (Note: Red text highlights elements that must be added, please turn black before sending):
Subject: Request for March 19 Capitol Hill Meeting

ARSA is the trade association for companies like mine involved in aviation maintenance.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss aviation maintenance industry business conditions in YOURSTATE, workforce development, FAA oversight, and related competition issues.
I am available to meet after 1pm EST on March 19.
Thank you for your attention to this request. Please let me know if you require any additional information.

(4) A day or two after sending the email, call the scheduler or staff member to confirm receipt. Keep in mind that every office handles scheduling requests differently, so you may be requested to provide additional information or use a form on the members’ website to request a meeting. Follow up regularly until the meeting is set. Since Congress will not be in session during the week of Legislative Day, you will very likely meet with a member of your elected official’s staff. Don’t feel put off. Frequently, staffers know much more about what’s really going on than members of Congress and they have a big impact on the way their bosses think about the issues.
(5) Ensure Christian is aware of scheduled meetings. Contact him for additional assistance.
