FAA Grants D&A ANPRM Comment Extension

Last week, ARSA followed the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Airlines for America (A4A) and Lufthansa in requesting the FAA extend the comment period to the Advanced Notice of Proposed Rule Making (ANPRM) concerning foreign drug and alcohol testing laws and the aviation industry’s best practices for preventing employees from misusing controlled substances.

The FAA granted a 60 day extension; comments are now due July 17.

ARSA is working to gather intelligence about existing laws and industry practices, and we encourage all interested parties to submit comments. Stay tuned as we continue to work this international issue.
