ARSA Congratulates Aviation Industry on Safest Decade

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA, January 6, 2012 – Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) Executive Vice President Christian Klein released the following statement commending the aviation industry on its stellar safety record as outlined in a recent Associated Press (AP) analysis. The AP reported that the past decade has been the safest in the history civil aviation.

“Congratulations to ARSA members and the entire aviation industry for achieving a stellar safety record. Your commitment and hard work have made flying the safest way to travel.

“Improved safety has coincided with increased use of contract maintenance by air carriers. The outstanding performance record is no accident; it’s the result of an effective – and ever improving – network of industry controls in concert with existing regulations.

“The Association looks forward to working with our members and their customers, suppliers, and employees to ensure this positive trend continues.”
