ARSA SLC kicks off

ARSA’s annual invitation-only strategic leadership conference kicks off this week in Hamburg, Germany. Aviation maintenance leaders can look forward to strategic discussions on how to advance the industry.

This year the SLC is being held in conjunction with a celebration of the Lufthansa Technik 50th anniversary of its FAA part 145 repair station certificate.

On Thursday, Oct. 18, attendees will participate in a celebration of international cooperation with Lufthansa Technik with events underscoring the importance of the industry’s international character. On Friday, Oct. 19, ARSA will hold its SLC with an emphasis on improving the operational landscape for aviation maintenance.

Speakers include rock star Bruce Dickinson who, in addition to serving as vocalist for heavy metal band Iron Maiden, is a commercial pilot and recently launched his own aviation repair company in the United Kingdom, Cardiff Aviation. Dickinson will speak to the challenges and opportunities in the aviation maintenance industry and the factors that inspired his passion for aviation.

Joining Dickinson as headlining speakers are the Honorable Philip D. Murphy, U.S. Ambassador to Germany, who will highlight the impact of aviation on trade and international relations; and, via video, Acting FAA Administrator Michael Huerta, who will discuss advances in aviation technology, regulation, and safety.
