ARSA Files Comments to FAA AC 145-11

On Oct. 12, ARSA filed comments regarding draft AC 145-11, which provides guidance on how U.S.-based repair stations may obtain, renew, or amend EASA approval as outlined in the Maintenance Annex Guidance to the U.S.-European Community Agreement on Civil Aviation Safety.

ARSA made several suggestions to improve the AC: First, that it provide a more detailed description of the relationship between the MAG and the international agreement on which it is based; Second, that the AC refer users directly to the MAG for specific instructions to avoid potential confusion resulting from future MAG revisions.

ARSA included a red-lined version of the draft AC with its comments to illustrate the suggested changes. To view the comments and ARSA’s proposed changes, click here.
