FAA Releases Drug and Alcohol Rule Guidance
August 15, 2005
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Aug. 15 issued long-awaited guidance on the revamped drug and alcohol (D&A) testing rule. As reported by ARSA last month, the guidance came in multiple parts:
- A memorandum to FAA airworthiness and drug abatement inspectors (2.4MB .PDF),
- A Guidance Alert to industry (1.4MB .PDF), and
- A set of D&A-related frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the agency’s website.
ARSA will analyze the guidance and update its members directly on its findings as well as any further developments. For more information/background on the drug & alcohol rule, click here.
